Recently having done a remix of Rex the Dog’s Bubblicious out on Hundehaus, British Ben Hoo surpasses himself with his ‘Still Frame’ Remix of Fever Ray’s Triangle Walks.
Unless you feel nauseous at the combination of 303 vs Prodigy-esque sounds PLUS Mind Dimension,
check out his mildly acidic Mind ‘Die Menschen’ Remix as featured on Tiga’s freakish podcast 9A for Turbo & his Radio 1 Essential Mix.
After bringing Salem and CFCF to the attention of the general internet browsing public Vancouver label Acephale hold hands with their Swedish counterparts Sincerely Yours in releasing Call & Response, the debut EP from Memory Cassette, later this month on limited to 500 copies white 7 inch vinyl.
Additionally, a slew of the labels favourite remixers have been enlisted to take apart tracks from the EP and use musical glue and scissors to put them back together in their own inimitable style. First up is London based Vancouver ex pat Friend whose reimagination of Last One Awake is nothing if not fucking gorgeous.
Once the object of affection/erection for many a soap watching teenage lad, with her short lived career as Australias answer to Britney long forgotten and past her lad mag shelf life, she now finds herself having to play the love interest of vastly over hyped high pitched herbert Franklybadmusik in the video for his latest bid for success, to pay the rent.
For fans of both Holly Valance and the heir apparent to Just Jack’s crown you can watch the video for the latters new single Confusion Girlhere.
Up and coming producer The Aspirins For My Children, who has worked with long standing Slutty Fringe favourites Miss Odd Kidd and The Cock & Bull Kidd, has remixed Confusion Girl and it sounds as good as you can get short of removing Frankmusiks voice.
I know we’re all about bringing you the buff and hype, but occassionally even flashing blades such as ourselves need to recharge. Personally for me this means turning the lights down low, firing up the Von Erck and immersing myself in some sublime ambient music.
One collection of tracks I turn to most often when feeling all emotional is LJ Kruzer’s ‘This Is How I Write‘, a gorgeous audio bubblebath of an album, and one that by rights should be in every home. Mr Kruzer’s sophomore effort ‘Manhood and Electronics‘ is due for release this Summer and from what I’ve heard is every bit as beautiful as it’s predecessor.
Anyway in an effort to create an online buzz, although it’s probably more like the drone of a sundrunk bumblebee, here is the video for new track Tam, produced by Octavcat‘s multi talented (ask him to draw you an elephant) Jamie Bradshaw.

This Friday we jump onboard the disco bus (the 242 in case you were wondering) and head up to Barden’s for the final Last Days of Disco before we take a break for the summer.
Going out with a bang we have a DFA double header with two homegrown acts who have caught the attention of Gothan’s finest, Cage & Aviary and Capracara.
For a taster of what we have in store for you check out the videos below. Nice nice.

For those who missed last month’s session with In Flagranti, and of course those who just fancy relieving it all again, here is part 1 of their awesome set.
You’ll have to supply your own smut projections though.
Warming to a theme take a quick peak hurrr, where you can grab an excellent DJ mix In Flagranti knocked up for Blah Blah Blah, we like a lot! They’ll be guesting at their night soon, so keep em peeled they are killer DJs.
Finally in an effort to make Slutty Fringe your number one internet stop for all things brash and vulgar, we present to you this hot off the press remix Sasha and Alex have just polished off for New Delhi’s Midival Punditz.
Rehabilitating the Glitter beat, the track kicks off with an overdriven drum riff, oddly suggestive of the Beastie Boys Sabotage, before breaking into a prime slice of glam rock dalek disco before. This is made to be played very, very loud.
What would happen if dinosaurs invaded South Coast Towns of England?
Would holidaying pensioners be convenient snack for ravenous Tyrannosaur?
Or would Tyrannosaur, being a contemporary monster, prefer a Fish supper and a pot of tea after a few rides on the dodgems and a massive fail at Guitar Hero? (What were you thinking with those paws son)
The above quandry is sadly not answered by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs on their track Bournemouth, centre piece to a new EP on Warm Chips affiliates Greco Roman, but Slutty Fringe can forgive TEED when their music has this much womp womp and bounce.
