You have to hand it to Barcelona’s Buffetlibre, they think big. Projects such as Rewind and Rewind 2, have harnessed the collaborative power of the web in a way that few others have yet managed.
If only they could use their powers to better humanity rather than just fill our ipods with weird and wonderful covers. Well guess what, it seems that they have heard the call and have just unveiled their next ridiculously ambitious project entitled PEACE.
Created with Amnesty International PEACE brings together over 100 different artists from over 50 countries, and thankfully not in a Band Aid style mega group. Instead you have artists as brilliantly diverse as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Marc Almond, Dan Deacon and the unbelievably awesome sounding Wanlov the Kubolor (from Ghana no less) all contributing a track to one huge digital compilation.
The album will be released in January and you’ll be able to pay what you like for it (min $2), all the proceeds go to Amnesty, so dig deep when the time comes.
As a taster for the compilation they’ve made a few tracks available for download and we’re going to post the rather splendid Superstar by Kwaito producer Dj Mujava (and Dj NonSense), which does to Belgian hardcore what Township Funk did to bleep techno.

Great to be there!
