WORD LOVE

Paint It Yellow

26.10.09

I own too many t-shirts, considering that they generally all look shit on me and I normally wear shirts anyway you’d think I’d be able to resist temptation but no I’m a sucker for a nice design on a bit of cloth.

Still at least with Yellow Bird‘s Tees, I can take some solace in the fact that tomorrow’s dusters will have generated some cash for a good cause or two. Featuring design from a whole host of ‘indie’ bands such as Au Revoir Simone, Of Montreal and Devendra Banhart, each t-shirt benefits a different charity ranging from New York’s Safe Space to old faithfuls like Greenpeace.

Currently I’m torn between The National’s (pictured above) and Little Boots‘ effort, though to be honest I think it’s probably the remarkably gamine young lass modelling Ms Hesketh’s one that is interfering with my judgement here rather than any particular aesthetic merits of her design.
