Angular art poppers Stricken City will be unleashing their debut and somewhat miniature album Songs About People I Know on Pure Groove Records next week and it’s quite a joy to listen to, mostly for Rebbeca Raa’s swoonsome vocal chirrup.
One of the music industry’s unwritten requirements for new bands is they must be remixed by Gold Panda, ever the sporting types, Stricken City were happy to comply. Watch out for a Stricken City remix by that mysterious Skellington character mentioned previously.
Stricken City – Lost Art (Gold Panda Remix)
Rebecca Raa spared some time from repeatedly listing her influences for the benefit of journalists to provide Slutty fringe with her 5 favourite haircuts from musics past, click on for more….

1. Lou Reed
Rocking the Blonde locks is a Very Strong Look!

2. The Byrds
How to look indie. Probs the best bunch of bowl cuts seen together in one group.

3. Edwyn Collins
Edwyn Collins has the best quiffs this side of the Atlantic, especially during his time with Orange Juice. Mixing the 50’s and 80’s always looks good!

4. Ari Up (The Slits)
This picture is amazing, her hair just adds to the wildness of her performance. Not so much now though, with her dreadlocks down to her knees. oh.

5. Robert Quine (Richard Hell & The Voidoids)
Coolest bald guy to ever play rock n roll.
