Earlier this year we decided that not content with being the most important repository of information on the interweb would start our own record label, Hot Pockets.
Naturally this has been a great success, and since we like the idea of being music moguls as much as we enjoy being world famous writers, we have decided to raise our game with some new releases.
So next up is The Olympic Village EP from Shock Defeat!, 5 tracks of wonderfully frenetic Talking Heads meets !!! disco-punk pop, and to celebrate we’re throwing a launch party at The Queen of Hoxton.
Shock Defeat! will of course be playing live, and joining them will be our other new signings the creamily erotic Kinema. If that wasn’t enough we’ve roped in a few of our friends, such as the wonderful Plugs and the mighty mighty Greco-Roman Soundsystem DJs, to spin records and generally get the party started, and we have a few more special guests to be announced in the next week or so…
