If you’re going to release music on vinyl these days it pays to make the product itself as desirable as possible. Now sometimes that means lovely full colour sleeves, limited edition runs and coloured vinyl (oh look…) and sometimes that means going totally over the top.
Rave Wars a new mysterious release doing the rounds is probably the most ridiculously collectable record I’ve seen for quite some time. A two track 7″ with each record coming packaged like a vintage Star Wars toy complete with it’s own figure, only 200 have been produced and I’d be amazed if any are left this time next week.

So who’s behind it? We (and George Lucas’ lawyers) may never know, though when we found their MySpace page yesterday just two artists, Ebola and AGT Rave Cru, were added as friends. We’ll let you draw your own conclusions from that…
Oh and the music, well what else would you expect from an EP called Rave Wars but banging vintage sounding ‘ardkore.
