If one of your all time fantasies involves a soho basement, lots of alcohol, live music from Eel Pie Island’s finest, risible yoof tv personalities and a car that moonlights as a DJ booth, then you my friend are in luck.
Thats right, this Thursday 8th April sees US car types Chevoret unleash Spark, their entrant into the European market, on an unassuming audience at the Vinyl Factory (rumoured to be where Phonica press up all those disco edits) before doing a series of popup events across the UK (more info here)
Playing live are Mystery Jets (seen above sullenly sharing picture space with the aforementioned motor turned DJ booth) with the added comedy bonus of a DJ set from Nick Grimshaw alongside selections from Merok Records and Sth Ldn afrobeat fopp Jack Penate.
Kate Moross will be stationed behind her laptop providing some concentric circle visuals and the girls from WAH Nails (best website ever btw) are also on hand to provide a neon tinged manicure.
Chevrolet have given Slutty Fringe 5 pairs of VIP tickets to this event – for a chance to win just email me with the answer to the following quandry:
Who designed the Chevrolet Spark Tour logo?
a) Jimi Crayon
b) Jimi Mistri
c) Jimi Hendrix
(Apparently clues are on hand at the Spark facebook page)
Competition ends Thursday 12pm
