Unless I’m very much mistaken Team Fringe has this weekend off from DJ’ing, so what to do? Well personally I’m repairing to my ancestral seat to see Kid Creole and the Coconuts, but if you’re in London this Friday then you’re in luck as you’ll be in the very good company of Glasgow’s finest.

First up it’s the Numbers crew who are holding a launch party for Redinho‘s new ‘Bare Blips EP’ at the much loved and thankfully reopened Plastic People. It’s only a fiver in and alongside Redinho, you’ll get sets from Rustie, Spencer, Goodhand, Nelson and a special surprise guest.

Meanwhile a quick bus ride up the Kingsland Rd you’ll find Optimo’s JD Twitch playing an early evening set* at The Beat! in the style of the insanely good 60 Minutes of Fear mix he did for RVNG, alongside a live show from the excellent Gold Blood. As with all parties at The Alibi it’s free in, and will be officially great.

Now personally wild horses couldn’t drag me away from my long planned night of tropical disco, cocktails and suburban MILFs but I have to admit these two parties come pretty damn close.
