For those of you interested in sumptuously presented vinyl only high concept albums released in limited quantities (and I realise the risibly named “blogosphere” might not be that place) a hearty recommendation to go seeking out the new Heatsick album is what occupies this space.
Having first come across the East Anglian living in Berlin via a quite brilliant 12″ on the Cocktail D’Amour imprint (a review for which can be read here) – yesterday afternoon was spent in the excellent Kristina Records listening to Intersex in an attempt to devil away a Blue Moon, whisky sour and red wine induced hangover that had outstayed it’s welcome.
The album is worth it alone for the thirteen minute casio jam that is “Ice Cream On Concrete”. A racy video for that track which expands on the concepts behind the album is available to watch here – be warned it’s not for the prudish.
Further aural enticement is available in the shape of the below stream of album track “Tertiary” and if all this takes your fancy a stroll to Kristina Records is your next point of action.
